BRITISH HIGH COMMISSION| LAVI DAN PORLWI (Port Louis Urban Life)

10th of September 2021

Her Excellency Charlotte Pierre, British High Commissioner to Mauritius, posted a short video of her visit to four museums of Mauritius on LinkedIn. ” History can be both inspiring and challenging, but knowing it is core to doing my job effectively,” she wrote.

She visited the Photography Museum, the Natural History Museum, Appravasi Ghat (UNESCO Heritage site associated to the arrival of Indentured Labourers from India) and the Intercontinental Slavery Museum.

Preserving and respecting our history is something that Mauritius and the U.K. really seek to do and another example of our shared values. “

H. E. Charlotte Pierre, British High Commissioner to Mauritius
